Lodging

Rooms have been placed on reserve at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown for all guests of the wedding, including the wedding party, for the nights of Thursday, September 12 through Sunday, September 15.  A standard rate of $90 / night is guaranteed for all guests.  Note that the hotel offers valet parking only. Self parking lots are available a few blocks from the hotel. In order to reserve your room, please use our dedicated booking website.

Note that the hotel block is now closed, and the discounted rate is no longer available.

Transportation

Transportation will be provided to and from Phipps Conservatory for all guests staying at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown.  Alternatively, guests can make arrangements for their own travel to the venue.  Please find driving directions below:

Directions from the North

• Take I-279 South to Pittsburgh, toward the Fort Pitt Tunnel.
• Follow signs toward Monroeville and I-376 East.
• Continue on I-376 East, take the Forbes Ave./Oakland exit (old exit 5, new exit 2-A).
• Follow Forbes Avenue.
• Turn Right onto Schenley Drive.
• Turn Left at the traffic light.
• Continue to follow Schenley Drive into Schenley Park.
• Phipps is on the Right.

Directions from the South

• Take I-279 North toward Pittsburgh, to the Fort Pitt Tunnel.

Directions from the East/Turnpike

• From the PA Turnpike, take the Pittsburgh exit (old exit 6, new exit 57).
• Take 376 West to the Oakland exit (exit 73) bearing Right to the stoplight.
• Turn Right onto the Boulevard of the Allies.
• Go through two stoplights and over the Anderson Bridge.
• At the second exit into Schenley Park, turn Right. (This takes you under the Anderson Bridge and over the Panther Hollow Bridge.)
• You will begin to see the east side of the Conservatory straight ahead.
• At the fork in the road, bear Left into Schenley Park.
• Phipps is on the Left.

Venue
The wedding ceremony, officiated by Rev. Saleem Ghubril, will be taking place in the outdoor gardens at Phipps Conservatory.  The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:30PM, followed by cocktail hour at 7PM.  Guests will then be directed to the Events Hall at 8PM for an evening of food, drink, dancing and more.

Dinner Options
Options will be available for our vegetarian and vegan guests.  Food choices will be requested within the wedding invitations.

Saturday Gamewatch (Notre Dame vs. Purdue)

All guests are invited to join us for an evening of food and football as we cheer on the Fighting Irish against the Boilermakers.  (Mike and Alex could not compete with the game on a Saturday, thus the selection of Friday for the wedding and separate gamewatch on Saturday!)
